Between 2017 – 2020 Probationary has been played about 80 times, with around a 400 players, and an audience of 2800 people. The games are a mix of public events (highlighted below) and closed private plays with people within the Criminal Justice System (CJS), such at the Ministry of Justice, The Prison and Probation Ombudsman, and a Young Offenders Institute. The closed events allowed stakeholders within the CJS to have frank, open conversations about the probation system without risk or judgement as they were able to speak through the game play and fictional players.
